Job summary

Hawaii Association of Environmental Professionals is seeking a senior Energy Contract Manager to oversee development, evaluation, negotiation, and administration of power purchase agreements across Oahu, Hawaii Island, and Maui County.

You will lead negotiations with Independent Power Producers and other stakeholders, coordinate with engineers and legal teams, and direct community engagement and public meetings to support the organization's objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or business.
• Renewable energy knowledge and utility-scale applications.
• Project management fundamentals.
• Familiarity with regulatory laws (PUC, environmental, state and federal).
• Contract terms and conditions knowledge.
• Proficient in computers and office software.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, evaluation, negotiation, and administration of energy power purchase agreements.
• Serve as lead negotiator for the Company.
• Coordinate with independent power producers and facilities across islands.
• Manage stakeholder contacts and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Assist with community engagement and public meetings.
• Collaborate with technical experts on planning, design, and operations.
