Job summary

Hawaiian Electric in Pearl City – Oahu is hiring a Construction Project Manager (Professional) to plan, coordinate and manage on-site T&D electrical projects. You will direct contractors, ensure design standards, safety and schedules, and maintain daily records while liaising with internal teams.

The role requires extensive T&D construction knowledge, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to obtain necessary permits/clearances.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of T&D electrical construction methods.
• Qualify to accept/return holdoffs and electrical work clearances.
• Knowledge of Hawaii construction laws, contracting, scheduling, estimating and cost tracking.
• Knowledge of OSHA and HECO safety standards.
• Computer literacy and basic software skills.
• LEAN continuous improvement knowledge.
• SafeStart principles knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site T&D electrical work, ensure safety and standards.
• Plan and arrange necessary holds/clearances.
• Review contracts, bid procedures, and approve invoices.
• Maintain daily records and prepare project reports.
• Lead meetings to improve communication and workforce skill.
• Participate in emergency response activities.
