Job summary

Altura is seeking a Senior Energy and Commissioning Engineer to lead energy and commissioning projects for new construction and existing buildings in California. You will manage client relationships, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and drive energy performance improvements across portfolios.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in energy engineering (MEP and controls), 5+ years in PM, and strong analytical, communication, and proposal skills, with experience using SkySpark analytics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering field experience (mechanical preferred) including building energy engineering (MEP and controls) and commissioning.
• 5+ years of project management and client lead experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience delivering complex projects for commercial, healthcare or institutional clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple energy and commissioning projects for new construction and existing buildings with client interface and schedule/budget oversight.
• Perform field work including site audits, systems testing, troubleshooting, and energy-improvement measure development.
• Lead testing protocols to verify energy performance and support energy savings calculations.
• Leverage data analytics (SkySpark) to support commissioning processes and project decisions.
• Travel to sites for field work as needed.
