Job summary

The Noble Law is seeking a Lead Attorney with substantial employment-law experience to manage client matters across pre-litigation and litigation, including disputes under federal and state laws. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with a legal team, and strategic case management while enabling remote work.

You will work with an intake department and use a data-driven approach to achieve client outcomes, leveraging technology and a commitment to equity and excellence.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in North Carolina or eligibility for prompt admission.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience practicing employment law including litigation experience.
• Well-versed in federal and state employment laws, rules of civil procedure, and rules of evidence.
• Powerful negotiation skills.
• Great interpersonal skills for respectful communication with clients and opposing counsel.
• Independent, proactive, and adaptive case management skills.
• Skilled with technology, including legal AI, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Commitment to the vision and values of the Firm.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in agency proceedings (EEOC, NC DOL, NLRB, and others).
• Represent clients in arbitration, trial, and on appeal.
• Collaborate with the legal team to litigate and resolve matters: consult with clients, review documents, gather evidence, interview witnesses, conduct legal research, develop strategies, manage files, and meet deadlines.
• Provide instruction and direction to the legal team and negotiate with opposing counsel.
• Draft pleadings, responses to discovery, and settlement agreements; participate in hearings and trials.
