Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City, Utah seeks an experienced EMI/EMC Electrical Engineer to contribute to the architecture, analysis, testing, and documentation of defense products. The role ensures compliance with EMC standards across the design and test lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include collaboration across engineering teams, design reviews, and developing EMI control plans. A security clearance ability is required, with full‑time commitment in our Salt Lake City facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with extensive EMI/EMC experience.
• Minimum 9 years relevant experience; Graduate Degree with 7 years; or in lieu of a degree, 13 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate EMI/EMC requirements into design, testing, and documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and perform basic simulations and trade studies.
• Develop EMI control plans, test procedures, and reports.
• Prepare documentation for certification and engineering releases.
• Participate in lab and chamber test activities and data collection.
• Interface with customers to clarify requirements and test results.
• Support proposals for EMI/EMC-related opportunities.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (Secret or higher).
