Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Lead Emergency Technician for on-site, part-time roles with multiple shifts in Portland. The incumbent will oversee Emergency Technicians, coordinate orientation for new staff, ensure department readiness, and promote high-quality patient care in collaboration with the Nurse Educator.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of EMT experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 2 years Recent Emergency Technician experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the work of Emergency Technicians and coordinates orientation for new staff.
• Maintains stocking and cleaning of the department and completes daily checklists.
• Acts as a resource to technicians and promotes/ supports quality patient care.
