Job summary

Liquid Graphics, Inc. is building an in-house embroidery department and seeks a hands-on leader to run it from day one.

You will set up and operate commercial embroidery equipment, manage the schedule, ensure quality, and own departmental metrics. You will also coordinate with the master scheduler, train cross‑trained staff, and drive production efficiency while maintaining readiness to adapt to peak workloads.

Qualifications

• Three+ years running commercial embroidery equipment (single-head or multi-head).
• Digitizing experience and ability to edit designs in-house.
• Cap and 3D puff experience.
• Experience standing up a new department or production cell.
• Comfort with production/scheduling software in manufacturing.
• Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new programs.
• Knowledge of embroidery design software (Wilcom, Pulse, DesignShop or Tajima DG16).
• Ability to keep accurate production records and notes.
• Able to lift 40 lbs and stand for a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run commercial embroidery equipment; load designs and manage thread changes.
• Coordinate with master scheduler to protect rush work and delivery dates.
• Set and uphold quality standards; approve first-offs and manage registration, density, backing, puckering and trim quality.
• Maintain uptime with regular preventive actions and machine care.
• Manage consumables—thread, backing, bobbins, needles; keep waste visible.
• Track output metrics: pieces produced, output per hour, spoilage, machine hours.
• Direct and develop helpers and finishers; start building the team.
