Job summary

Signify in Atlanta is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to head design, development, and optimization of embedded software for connected lighting systems. You will guide projects from concept through release and mentor engineers across global teams.

The role requires 10+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++ and Python, and a track record leading complex technical work. You’ll work with IoT and smart-home technologies and influence technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on embedded systems.
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience, including strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Strong knowledge of embedded development concepts and experience developing software for resource-constrained platforms.
• Experience with IoT, smart home, connected systems, or similar technologies preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work, collaborate across functions, and coach or mentor other engineers.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to join our Wavelinx WAC team in Atlanta, Georgia or Peachtree City, Georgia, with Signify. Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting. In this role, you will lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of embedded software solutions for connected systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to develop reliable, high-performance software from concept through product release.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: $122,570 $163,420 (based on experience level)
• Bonus: target bonus opportunity 15%
