Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking an experienced software engineer to drive embedded software development for a satellite constellation. You will contribute across requirements, design, implementation, and testing, working with C, C++, Rust in a real-time OS environment.

The role emphasizes architectural leadership, device driver development, and close collaboration with hardware teams to ensure robust flight software and successful bring-up and integration testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, or other languages in a real-time operating system environment
• Architect, design, and implement software for satellite constellation
• Write software to interact with devices/electronics using I2C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet, etc. communications
• Write device drivers and system applications for flight code and flight management
• Work closely with hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration testing
