Job summary

Aptiv PLC in Carmel, Indiana invites a senior leader to head an Embedded Systems, Radar engineering team within our adjacent markets organization. The role centers on radar-enabled automotive systems and guiding roadmap milestones.

You will drive staffing, resolve technical escalations, and mentor the team while advancing processes and quality. Strong leadership and expertise in automotive systems are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics.
• Ability to drive full ownership of engineering capabilities for an engineering competency.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams.
• Comfortable leading meetings with internal/external customer teams and promoting teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Technical Program Managers on product roadmap development.
• Resolve technical product escalations and prevent recurring issues.
• Staff product development resources and resolve staffing conflicts.
• Develop competency roadmap by tracking industry trends and needs.
• Drive process, quality, and methodology improvements to optimize efficiency.
• Lead vehicle testing activities and results reporting.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely delivery and quality.
