Job summary

Aptiv in Carmel, Indiana seeks an Embedded Systems, Radar leader to drive an engineering team focused on advanced radar systems for automotive applications. You will guide product roadmaps, resolve technical escalations, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

The role requires 5+ years in Automotive or Consumer Electronics, strong systems engineering expertise, and a proven track record of leading teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering with cross-functional partners.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and ability to drive engineering capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of systems engineering and product development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team in Radar-oriented embedded systems within AGILE iterations.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Technical Program Managers on roadmaps.
• Resolve technical escalations and prevent recurrence with process improvements.
• Staff product development resources and resolve staffing conflicts.
• Develop competency roadmaps by tracking industrial trends and needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and ensure adoption by engineers.
• Oversee vehicle systems engineering, including technicians and performance reviews.
• Mentor and upskill the competency engineering team.
• Drive process improvements to optimize efficiency.
• Lead vehicle builds, checkout, testing, planning and data analysis.
• Coordinate requirements flow and ensure on-time deliverables.
• Plan program deliverables with AGILE product owners.
• Support pursuit activities and product demos.
• Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE requirements and internal processes.
• Interface with Aptiv's strategic partners.
