Job summary

Aptiv PLC is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to develop and optimize automotive radar systems, work on radar sensors, and define subsystem specifications from system requirements. You will contribute to test strategies, diagnose performance issues, and advance angle finding and signal processing algorithms in collaboration with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of radar technology experience or academia.
• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or similar technical degree.
• Strong familiarity with radar tech, architectures, waveforms, antennas, and signal processing.
• Experience with Microprocessor/DSP hardware designs and software architecture.
• 3+ years in radar systems design, integration and test preferred.
• Strong MATLAB coding experience required.
• Experience in development of automotive radar.
• Team player, motivated, flexible and organized.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Focus on development, integration, testing, and optimization of automotive radar systems.
• Participate in development and production of radar sensors.
• Develop subsystem specifications from top-level radar requirements.
• Develop test strategies and methodologies for new radar designs.
• Identify radar shortcomings, diagnose root causes, and implement design changes.
• Develop new angle finding concepts and signal processing algorithms.
• Interface with multi-disciplinary product teams for design, integration and test.
• Present design concepts, radar performance and algorithms to team and customers.
