Job summary

Signify is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer for Atlanta or Peachtree City, GA, to drive firmware development for the WaveLinx IoT lighting system. You will collaborate with hardware, marketing, and QA to design, validate and deploy new products and ensure robust, scalable firmware across devices.

You will own the implementation, testing and maintenance of firmware, interfaces and protocols, with emphasis on ARM MCUs, RTOS and ZigBee/Bluetooth/DALI stacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with focus on embedded systems.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, including programming in C/C++ and RTOS.
• ARM Microcontroller FW development principles, interfaces, and protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIOs, LEDs).
• Knowledge of ZigBee, Bluetooth, DALI, or similar protocols.
• Experience debugging real-time issues with IDEs, debuggers, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware, features and new products for WaveLinx IoT lighting system.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Marketing and QA to design, validate and deploy new products.
• Own product implementation, documentation, testing, quality and deployment.
• Lead Firmware development for various sensors, control and input devices in the WaveLinx Wireless system.
