Job summary

Signify is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer for projects in Atlanta or Peachtree City, GA. You will lead firmware development for WaveLinx IoT lighting systems, collaborating with hardware, marketing and QA to design, implement and deploy firmware features.

You’ll bring 10+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++, RTOS experience, and ARM MCU know‑how, plus familiarity with ZigBee/Bluetooth. This role emphasizes ownership, rigorous testing and documentation in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a focus on embedded systems.
10+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, including programming in C/C++ and working with RTOS.
ARM microcontroller firmware development principles, interfaces and protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIOs, LEDs).
Knowledge of electronics, schematics, datasheets, bootloaders, board bring up, ZigBee/Bluetooth/DALI or similar protocols.
Experience debugging real‑time issues with IDEs, debuggers, multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

Develop firmware, features and new products for WaveLinx IoT lighting system.
Work closely with Hardware, Marketing and QA teams to design, create, validate and deploy new products.
Take ownership of product implementation, documentation, testing, quality and deployment.
Lead firmware development for various sensors, control and input devices in the WaveLinx Wireless system.
