Job summary

Popeyes is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Lockport, IL, to support the Restaurant General Manager in running daily operations and coaching the crew with a focus on fast, friendly, high-quality guest experiences.

The AGM will lead shifts, develop team members, monitor food safety and costs, and help hire and train new staff while maintaining Popeyes’ legendary hospitality and brand standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in restaurant or retail management.
• People-first leadership with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with managing food and labor costs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily restaurant operations, from the front counter to the back of house.
• Lead shifts with confidence—ensuring speed, accuracy, and top-tier guest experiences.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members to hit service and performance goals.
• Monitor food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness.
• Assist in managing labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns with care.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety procedures and other duties assigned.
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
