Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Thermal Analysis Engineer in Linthicum, MD to lead electronics thermal design across multiple domains. The role includes deriving thermal requirements, architecture, and performance, while mentoring engineers and presenting to customers. DoD Secret clearance is required or transferable.

Onsite work at the Linthicum facility is expected. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in thermal engineering, strong ANSYS skills, and proven ability to win and deliver government

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with extensive thermal engineering experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 10+ years in thermal engineering and electronics thermal design.
• Experience proposing and delivering government contracts.
• Onsite work at Linthicum, MD facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal designs, derive requirements, and ensure performance.
• Mentor junior thermal engineers and present to customers.
• Research and design advanced electronics thermal solutions.
• Present oral and written findings to stakeholders.
• Support multiple programs across airborne, ground, and naval domains.
