Job summary

U.S. Fleet Forces Command seeks a Supervisory Electronics Technician in the COMBAT SYSTEMS AEGIS Branch.

You will lead a team of technicians and engineers, oversee evaluations and performance appraisals, and provide specialized technical training while advising on workload, priorities, and scheduling for ship operations and maintenance. The role requires broad electronics engineering knowledge applied to naval AEGIS combat systems, with proven troubleshooting and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-12.
• Broad knowledge of electronics engineering theories for naval AEGIS combat systems.
• Expert troubleshooter with detailed engineering analysis of AEGIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of technicians and engineers.
• Develop, evaluate and finalize performance appraisals; manage leave and disciplinary actions.
• Provide specialized technical training to the AEGIS Branch and advise on workload, scheduling and problem solving.
• Advise the Combat Systems Division Head on technical, functional and authoritative changes.
• Provide engineering guidance on reliability, configuration and system performance.
• Coordinate complex alterations with internal technicians and engineering staff.
• Advise designers on engineering considerations for ship operations and maintenance.
• Review and recommend changes to work orders affecting major combat systems installation.
