Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Supervisor-Utilities Electronics to lead a unit responsible for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electronic equipment across water systems. You will supervise staff, guide technical work, and ensure timely, safe operations for flood control and water distribution.

Ideal candidates have strong electronics knowledge, experience with SCADA and MAXIMO, and a proven record of leadership in maintenance environments.

Qualifications

Five years in installation/testing/diagnosis/repair of instrumentation or related electronic equipment.
Two years of lead work or supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license with good driving record.
High school diploma or GED; an associate degree plus experience meets requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise maintenance, repair, and operation of electronics and electrical systems in water distribution.
Schedule tasks, assign maintenance requests, and set performance expectations for staff.
Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline staff; manage equipment and budgets as needed.
Identify issues in electronic equipment, perform calibration and preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot failures.
Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure equipment availability and reliability.
Ensure compliance with regulations and proper handling of chemicals and inventories.
