Job summary

Nexteer Automotive is seeking an Electronics Engineer (Controller) Technical Lead to steer hardware development for automotive steering and control systems. You will lead design, verification, integration, and launch activities for complex electrical hardware across analog and digital domains.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, risk management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements and program milestones in a global Tier 1 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in automotive hardware development preferred.
• Strong problem solving and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, verification, and implementation of electrical hardware for steering and control systems.
• Ensure architectures, schematics, and components meet requirements and Nexteer standards.
• Lead reviews for schematics, PCB layouts, and validation plans.
• Support root-cause investigations across domains; ensure timely resolution from development to launch.
• Drive program execution including DV/PV activities and design releases.
• Coordinate activities across Programs, Systems, Software, EMC, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality.
• Promote reuse and continuous improvement in engineering processes.
