Saab, Inc. in East Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Lead Assembler to join the Manufacturing/Production team. The role focuses on leading complex assemblies, mentoring Levels 1–3, and ensuring quality and safety on the line.

You will read diagrams and drawings, perform soldering, troubleshoot, and drive process improvements while working with a range of materials and equipment. The position requires a strong mechanical/electrical background and a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Technical product troubleshooting skills.
• General electronic soldering skills and inspection knowledge.
• Ability to work with a range of materials, from small intricate parts to larger heavy parts.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor Levels 1–3 and other team members on the manufacturing line.
• Disassemble, rework, and assemble products per specifications.
• Operate tools and equipment, including torque wrenches and wire cutters.
• Identify and resolve recurring production problems and improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with ESD principles and safety.
