Saab AB in Syracuse, NY seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to advance brownfield operations and manufacturing technology. The role covers assembling, documentation, process development, and production systems improvement, with a focus on cost efficiency and quality.

The candidate will lead cross-functional teams, drive lean initiatives, and support factory layouts and process improvements across production lines while upholding Saab values and security requirements.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field with 5+ years in manufacturing, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Demonstrated drive, innovation, and initiative.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functional areas within an operation.
• Ability to develop relationships with internal and external partners.

Mansioni

• Analyze data packages to develop and sustain assembly instructions, routers, and fixtures.
• Contribute to development of production systems and methods for low-cost, high-quality production.
• Develop new technical solutions and lean production lines.
• Support 5S, Tiered Meeting Architecture, and idea systems.
• Engage with assemblers, technicians, and inspectors to improve processes.
• Develop factory layouts and production flow with existing facilities.
