Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician with strong AC/DC motor service experience to lead field crews on challenging industrial and mining projects. You will perform advanced diagnostics, motor removal/installation, and precision mechanical work while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring safety and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in heavy industrial motor service, familiarity with PdMA tools, and solid problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on AC/DC motor service in mining or heavy industry.
• PdMA testing experience or equivalent diagnostic tools.
• Vibration Analysis ISO CAT II certification (preferred).
• Strong skills in vibration analysis, alignment, and bearing inspections.
• Proven ability to lead teams and train technicians in the field.
• Excellent problem solving with attention to detail.
• Professional communication with customers.
• Valid Driver’s License with ability to travel locally/overnight.
• Solid math skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service technicians on projects, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform advanced diagnostics including vibration analysis, thermography, and electrical testing.
• Conduct motor removal, installation, troubleshooting, and repair for AC/DC motors in industrial/mining environments.
• Carry out shaft alignment, bearing replacement, seal setting, and torquing to specifications.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship for field service technicians.
• Assist with proposals, job walks, and defining work scopes for customer projects.
• Prepare detailed service and technical reports with findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and IPS Engineering to overcome advanced failures.
