Stellantis is seeking a Principal Electrified Powertrain Controls Engineer to lead the Electrified Propulsion Controls Center of Excellence. Define system-level control strategies, drive cross-program development (BEV/REEV/HEV), and oversee robust, production-ready solutions across global platforms.

The ideal candidate demonstrates expert propulsion controls, advanced modeling, and end-to-end V-cycle ownership, with strong leadership and strategic influence across interfaces and executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience in controls/software engineering.
• Recognized expertise in propulsion control systems.
• Proven leadership in delivering production systems.
• Strong influence across organizations.
• Deep expertise in electrified powertrain systems and architectures.
• Advanced control theory and system optimization.
• End-to-end V-cycle ownership.
• Extensive experience with validation, calibration, and diagnostics.
• Strong system integration and vehicle-level performance understanding.

• Technical authority and decision-making capability.
• Ability to lead global, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define control strategies and system architecture at the vehicle and system level.
• Lead development and integration across BEV, REEV, HEV programs.
• Drive control algorithm design, optimization, and performance improvements.
• Ensure system robustness across MIL, SIL, HIL, and vehicle validation.
• Lead resolution of critical system issues and production challenges.
• Establish engineering standards, methods, and best practices.
• Drive innovation in advanced controls and emerging approaches.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and executive leadership to align technical direction.
