Job summary

Forge is seeking a lead electrician to oversee residential heat pump electrical work across Metrowest and Eastern Massachusetts. You will wire equipment, run circuits, and upgrade panels while mentoring apprentices to uphold Forge's quality on every job.

This full-time role requires MA Journeyman license and hands-on heat pump experience, with travel across the region and a Monday–Friday schedule. Potential to advance as tooling and van are earned after proving capability.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Hands-on experience with heat-pump electrical systems.
• Ability to lead a job site and mentor apprentices.
• Strong reading of layouts, schematics, and equipment specs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, wiring, and upgrades for heat pump systems.
• Wire heating/cooling equipment and thermostats; manage controls.
• Perform and oversee panel and service upgrades.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical/mechanical faults.
• Read electrical layouts and submittals; coordinate with tech support.
• Ensure electrical codes, OSHA, and safety protocols on site.
• Mentor on-site apprentices; teach technique and troubleshooting.
• Own job quality, timeline, and communication with coordinators.
