Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Graduate Engineer to lead testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems. The role includes troubleshooting, relay calibration, and high-voltage switchgear testing up to 15 kV, with reporting and client-facing duties.

Travel up to 50% is expected, and candidates should have NEC/NFPA knowledge, NETA certification, and strong communication skills to support business development and complex labeling projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer BSEE or BSME with no experience.
• Electrical Tech School or Military equivalent and three years minimum related work experience.
• High school education or equivalent and four years minimum related work experience.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and industry standards (OSHA/NFPA).
• Passed NETA exam.
• Strong background in switchgear testing through the 15 kV class.
• Good written and verbal communication; client/peer interaction.
• Willing to travel for out-of-town and international assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems.
• Troubleshooting, relay calibration, load recording instrumentation, switchgear testing through 15 kV class.
• Test and troubleshoot moderately complex electrical systems, relay systems and power metering.
• May perform simple power system studies including short circuit and protective device coordination.
• Write detailed reports promptly at project end and handle billing documentation.
• May perform complex analyses for equipment labeling projects per industry standards and company procedures.
• Take an active role in business development and expansion.
• Prepare written job proposals with estimates of man-hours and expenses, scope, and pricing.
