Job summary

Vertiv seeks a lead engineer to troubleshoot, test, and inspect electrical apparatus, with 50% travel. You will supervise parts of projects and generate reports and client proposals, applying industry standards and Vertiv procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a BSEE/BSME or equivalent and have hands-on experience with switchgear testing through 15 kV, plus strong communication and business acumen.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSME graduate or military/technical school graduate.
• Three years minimum in similar electrical work if prior experience.
• High school diploma with four years in similar work.
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA/NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Test and maintain electrical power distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and power metering.
• Prepare detailed project reports and assist with billing.
• Assist in business development and client proposals.
