Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a lead engineer to troubleshoot, test, and inspect electrical apparatus and to act as the lead on projects needing technical supervision. Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer BSEE or BSME and no experience.
• Graduate of Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent with three years minimum work experience.
• High school education or equivalent with four years minimum work experience.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA/NFPA standards.
• Passed NETA exam.
• Strong background in switchgear testing through 15 kV class.
• Good theoretical understanding of electrical power systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication with clients and peers.
• Strong computer skills: MS Word, research, test equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems.
• Lead projects as the designated lead and provide supervision.
• Prepare complete, detailed reports and process job billing promptly.
• May perform complex analyses for equipment labeling per standards.
• Participate in business development and client proposals including scope, pricing, and man-hour estimates.
