Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Engineer to lead an electrical test campaign for flight hardware as part of the Lunar Permanence unit. You will guide a small team of engineers, develop procedures, and coordinate with internal customers to ensure safe, repeatable testing for lunar transport hardware.

The role emphasizes risk reduction, root cause analysis, and collaboration across dispersed teams while upholding strict safety standards and program milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years aerospace test campaign experience.
• Ability to supervise a 2–5 engineer team.
• Experience with dispersed rapid development teams.
• Ability to earn trust and foster inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of early career engineers through an entire electrical test campaign.
• Plan, develop and execute test procedures for flight hardware.
• Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, direct technician work and coordinate with internal customers.
• Perform root cause, system hazard analysis and failure investigations.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during testing.
• Develop, manage, and maintain test support equipment.
• Find opportunities for safety improvements and cost savings.
• Proactively prepare status updates and communicates both within the organization and with direct customers.
• Participate in test readiness review, pre and post test briefings, and post test reviews.
• Manage procedural redlines and updates during test campaigns.
• Coordinate test crews, support equipment and configurations for testing.
• Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations.
• Participate in the assembly and test of development and flight hardware including planning, execution, data reduction and analysis.
