Arc is hiring a Manager, Electrical Systems in a full-time, on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters. You will lead a cross-functional vehicle controls team, drive integration with electrical, firmware, and mechanical groups, and shape roadmaps while upholding Arc values.

The position emphasizes mentorship, scalable processes, and high uptime across the fleet. The base salary is $215,000 annually with strong equity, semi-annual bonuses, and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in embedded systems, controls, or vehicle electrical integration.
• 2+ years proven experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• Experience shipping complex hardware-integrated, real-time systems into production.
• Strong intuition for system-level tradeoffs under real-world constraints.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be a 'U.S. person' per ITAR (22 CFR §120.62).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing vehicle controls engineering team.
• Invest in processes that maximize efficiency, quality, and velocity.
• Improve team culture by modeling Arc’s values.
• Partner with electrical, firmware, and mechanical teams for cross-domain integration.
• Collaborate with service and manufacturing to triage controls faults and ensure uptime.
• Contribute to roadmap planning and identify technical risks and staffing needs.
• Drive long-term technical strategy to build moats and leapfrog capabilities.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
