Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an EPC Electrical Superintendent to lead on-site electrical construction for utility-scale solar projects in Galesburg, IL. This full-time role requires coordinating field crews, subcontractors, safety programs, and project schedules to meet quality and cost objectives.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety, managing CPM-based schedules, reviewing drawings and submittals, and ensuring commissioning and close-out with Owners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of field construction experience at a supervisory level; 10 years preferred, with extensive electrical construction experience.
• Utility-scale solar construction experience is strongly preferred (minimum of 5 years).
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, NEC, and IEEE standards and codes.
• Demonstrated expertise in job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Prefer 5 years’ experience with medium-voltage (MV) testing and terminations.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory duties and support all aspects of field operations.
• Enforce safety procedures and lead safety training.
• Manage and maintain project CPM schedules and progress.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and submittals through turnover.
• Coordinate with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and subcontractors.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate field personnel including Superintendents and foremen.
• Coordinate field construction activities for utility-scale solar projects across sites.
• Ensure work meets specifications and quality control standards.
• Order and track materials and equipment with procurement.
• Maintain project documentation: daily reports, time sheets, work orders.
• Lead pre-job, progress, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Support RFIs, submittals, commissioning, and start-up testing.
