AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer Lead to design, implement, and oversee electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers. This remote-friendly role focuses on reliability, safety, and performance, with travel when required.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and 10+ years in data-center electrical design. You will mentor engineers, manage budgets, and drive client relationships on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with PE license required.
• 10+ years of electrical design/engineering experience focused on data center infrastructure.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including power distribution and backup systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, BOMs, and installation drawings.
• Ensure NEC/IEC compliance and adhere to industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to define specifications, design criteria, and budgets.
• Analyze systems for load balancing, capacity planning and energy efficiency.
• Monitor maintenance, perform tests, and oversee repairs.
• Develop electrical safety procedures and training for technicians.
• Provide technical input and mentoring to mid-level engineers; lead as Engineer of Record when required.
• Lead client relationships and contribute to project proposals and selling.
