Job summary

Colonial Group in California seeks an experienced Project Manager to direct electrical construction projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget completion while maintaining the company’s reputation.

The role involves leading project teams, reviewing plans and specifications, and ensuring adherence to contract documents. A strong background in electrical projects and formal education in engineering or construction management is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined experience in electrical project engineering, estimating, and project management.
• Experience estimating change orders.
• General knowledge of contract plans/specs and project accounting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related degree; or accredited electrical apprenticeship.
• Proficiency in MS Office / O365 applications and project management software such as Procore and Accubid Change Order.

Responsibilities

• Assumes duties of Assistant Project Manager.
• Actively manage a project portfolio of electrical construction projects.
• Lead Project Manager and/or co-Project Manager based on project needs.
• Plan and organize projects under supervision of a Project Executive or Division Manager.
• Oversee construction completion per Contract Documents and budgets.
• Perform contract review and management.
• Become the Company Expert on project contracts and conditions.
