Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Tampa, FL, is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to lead grounding layouts, conduit routing, cable tray, and electrical equipment location drawings for power plant projects.

The role is hybrid (three days in the office, two remote). You will produce drawings, review vendor drawings, and support field walkdowns, working with multi-discipline teams under the Electrical Project Lead.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in drafting or equivalent technical design experience.
• 10+ years of detailed physical design in grounding, duct banks, conduit layouts, cable trays, and equipment location drawings.
• Experience reviewing electrical physical layouts with equipment outlines and interface points.
• Assist engineers with initial design requirements and produce construction layout drawings.
• Extensive Microstation and/or AutoCAD design experience on power plants or large facilities.
• Strong drafting/design theory knowledge and ability to liaise with multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of grounding layouts and routing for new and existing power plantElectrical systems.
• Develop cable schedules, conduit routing, and equipment location drawings.
• Produce electrical physical drawings and review vendor drawings for integration.
• Assist field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities.
• Collaborate with engineers and design teams across disciplines.
