Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Electrical Designer in Houston to lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for power plants. You will review and guide deliverables such as grounding layouts, raceways, and equipment layouts while collaborating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent design experience required.
• 15+ years in detailed physical design for grounding/layouts and raceways.
• Experience reviewing electrical physical layout drawings and interfaces.
• Proven ability to produce physical construction layout drawings.
• Extensive MicroStation/AutoCAD design experience on power plants or large facilities.

Responsibilities

• Review, supervise, and provide technical guidance on design deliverables.
• Lead multiple teams across projects and coordinate with project management.
• Develop and control project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Lead field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities.
• Oversee staff assignments, evaluations, and career development.
