Job summary

Eaton’s Bussmann Division seeks a Lead Design Engineer (Electrical) in Ellisville, MO. The role is hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 remote) and focuses on fuse development for DC4DC data center trends, High Speed and MV fuses.

You’ll drive complex product development, act as design authority, and guide engineering changes across the lifecycle. The role requires a bachelor’s in a technical field and 3+ years in electrical product development, with DC/MV knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in electrical product development.
• Knowledge of DC and/or MV (medium voltage) products and systems.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, or visa classifications.

Responsibilities

• Acts as technical lead and design authority for assigned fuse product families, owning engineering decisions and product integrity across the lifecycle.
• Leads development and evolution of advanced fuse technologies for data center, grid, and power conversion applications.
• Plans and executes complex new product development from concept through launch, balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, risk, and schedule.
• Defines materials, processes, manufacturing strategies, and verification/validation plans for global manufacturability and regulatory compliance.
• Provides product line support, drives root cause and corrective actions, and communicates technical direction, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
