Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. in Farmington Hills is seeking a Design Engineer III for a hybrid role requiring four days in the office and one day remote. You will own fuse box 3D designs, manage CAD drawings in NX, and develop DFMEA, DVP&R and GD&T documentation.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience with Unigraphics (NX). Automotive OEM exposure (Stellantis, Ford, Rivian or GM) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and own fuse box 3D designs, changes and drawings in NX.
• Interpret, maintain and develop schematics/BOMs.
• Plan and manage project timing and due dates.
• Interface with customers for meetings and design reviews.
