The role installs, commissions, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, and battery systems in mission-critical environments such as data centers and healthcare facilities. This travel-intensive position demands strong electrical troubleshooting, schematic reading, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Technical or vocational education preferred.
• 2+ years of field service experience with UPS, switchgear, transformers, or generators.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, etc.).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service projects and manage onsite activities independently.
• Install, commission, calibrate, maintain, and repair UPS and MV/LV equipment.
• Troubleshoot switchgear, breakers, and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service to minimize downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures.
• Read schematics and one-line diagrams; supervise startup and testing.
• Coordinate equipment startup with internal teams and customers.
• Prepare service reports and recommend repairs or upgrades.
