Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience with field engineering, Advanced Work Packaging, workface planning, and turnover support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical field engineering support for assigned construction areas, including planning, technical coordination, field issue resolution, inspection, testing, and turnover.
  • Provide daily direction and mentoring to field engineers while ensuring safety and conformance with drawings, specs, procedures, and work packages.
  • Support construction-driven planning using Advanced Work Packaging principles and workface readiness.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, quality, project controls, startup, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve technical issues.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, models, vendor data, and field changes to support timely field execution.
  • Ensure labor, materials, drawings, access, permits, inspections, equipment, and work packages are ready before work begins.
  • Support material readiness, progress reporting, and turnover of completed electrical systems.
  • Promote a safe, collaborative field engineering culture focused on quality and delivery.

Project Overview

Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel\'s Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility — a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Joining the Fab 62 team means contributing directly to one of the most strategically important construction efforts in the United States and helping deliver the infrastructure behind the next generation of microelectronics.

Job Summary

In this role, you will lead electrical field engineering support for assigned construction areas on a large, complex semiconductor project. You will provide technical direction to field engineers and construction teams, support construction-driven planning and Advanced Work Packaging, help ensure work packages are ready for execution, and coordinate across engineering, construction, procurement, quality, project controls, startup, subcontractors, and client teams. This position supports safe and efficient field execution through drawing and specification review, constructability and issue resolution, material and quantity tracking, progress reporting, inspection, testing, punch list closure, and turnover of completed electrical systems.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical field engineering support for assigned construction areas, including planning, technical coordination, field issue resolution, inspection, testing, and turnover.
  • Provide daily direction and mentoring to field engineers while ensuring work is performed safely and in accordance with current drawings, specifications, procedures, and approved work packages.
  • Support construction-driven planning using Advanced Work Packaging principles, including work package development, sequencing, constraint removal, quantity tracking, and workface readiness.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, quality, project controls, startup, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve technical and constructability issues.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, models, vendor data, material requirements, RFIs, and field changes to support timely and practical field execution.
  • Help ensure labor, materials, drawings, access, permits, inspections, equipment, and work packages are ready before work begins.
  • Support material readiness, progress reporting, installed quantity verification, quality documentation, punch list closure, and turnover of completed electrical systems.
  • Promote a safe, collaborative, and accountable field engineering culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, and successful project delivery.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, installation practices, testing, inspection, and turnover requirements.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specifications, models, vendor information, quality requirements, and project procedures.
  • Experience with field engineering, Advanced Work Packaging, workface planning, work package development, quantity tracking, progress reporting, and turnover support.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including setting priorities, mentoring field engineers, coordinating technical support, and supporting construction execution.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills with construction, engineering, procurement, quality, project controls, startup, subcontractors, and client teams.
  • Working knowledge of construction automation, document control, completions, punch list, material management, and progress tracking systems.
  • Ability to identify constraints, resolve constructability issues, manage competing priorities, and make sound field decisions with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
