Job summary

InServ is seeking a Lead Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team and drive accurate, competitive estimates for complex industrial and commercial projects. This hands-on leadership role acts as a technical resource while helping develop people, improve processes, and build the team’s ability to independently deliver high-quality estimates.

You’ll own detailed takeoffs, pricing, and bid packages across design development and construction, collaborating with project management,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive electrical estimating experience, including lead or senior-level responsibility.
• Ability to lead, train, and develop other estimators.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, installation methods, and construction practices.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systems, controls, and/or instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from conceptual to construction documents.
• Develop labor, material, and equipment pricing for electrical scopes.
• Analyze diagrams, schedules, specs, and models to scope electrical systems.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing; identify gaps, risks, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Lead value-engineering and constructability reviews; assemble bid packages.
• Review and QA/QC estimates prepared by others for accuracy and consistency.
• Mentor estimators to deliver detailed estimates independently.
