Job summary

GDC Industrial, Inc. is seeking a Lead Estimator - Electrical to drive complete, competitive estimates for industrial and complex electrical projects.

You will lead pursuits from kickoff through bid submission and turnover, coordinating with mechanical, civil, and operations teams to capture interfaces and reduce gaps. The role requires extensive knowledge of electrical systems, strong cost development skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering accurate, compliant estimates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years of progressive electrical construction and estimating experience on complex projects.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction means, labor productivity, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates from pursuit through bid submission and turnover to Operations.
• Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for electrical systems.
• Establish labor units, crew composition, and manpower requirements.
• Price materials, equipment, subcontracted work, and contingency.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to capture interfaces and avoid scope gaps.
• Lead internal estimate reviews and present to executive leadership.
• Prepare inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and pricing breakdowns.
