Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Team Lead - Electrical Engineer (Utility Substations) to manage a multidisciplinary team in Lakewood/Denver area or remote. You will oversee detailed design for protection and control packages, perform system studies, and drive quality and schedule adherence across projects.

The role emphasizes leadership, client liaison, and ongoing process improvement, with a salary range of $100,000 to $165,000 per year, and remote-friendly options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• FE license is required; PE is preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Experience with high-voltage substations (240kV+).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, drafters, and technicians to deliver design scope on time and with quality.
• Direct protection and control package design, diagrams, and schematics.
• Coordinate power system studies including short circuit, load flow, and relay coordination.
• Mentor staff and promote continuous improvement and process discipline.
