Job summary

TYLin in Chicago seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and deliver complex rail and transit infrastructure projects. You will lead electrical design for heavy rail, traction power, signaling support, and coordination with civil, structural, and systems teams, from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 5–10+ years in transportation electrical engineering, proficiency with NEC, AutoCAD, Revit, and AGi32, and a passion for modernizing public transit systems

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
5–10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
Experience designing electrical systems for transportation, transit, rail, infrastructure, or large public-sector projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and support detailed electrical design for rail and transit infrastructure projects.
Develop construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with transit systems, civil, structural, architectural, and mechanical teams.
Mentor junior engineers and deliver high-quality design work.
