Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for power generation projects, including generation and storage facilities. You will coordinate design teams, mentor junior staff, and serve as a primary client contact for projects with significant electrical scope.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's in engineering, and 6+ years in power projects. Proficiency with PVsys/PVcase/ETAP/SKM/CDEGS and AutoCAD/Plant 3D is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Professional engineer license recognized by licensing board.
• 6+ years of related experience; local candidates preferred.
• Experience in design for large power generation facilities and renewable projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and coordinate design teams through schematic design and contract document phases.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule; primary client contact for electrical scope.
• Prepare detailed design packages for generation and storage facilities and related systems.
• Prepare calculations and reports: load flow, short circuit, grounding, and arc flash studies.
