Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer at the Wilmarth Generating Plant in Mankato, MN. The role combines reliability engineering with project engineering, focusing on ensuring continuous power plant operations and delivering capital projects.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of relevant experience in utilities or heavy industry, HV/MV equipment knowledge, and strong project-management and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree (ABET preferred) and relevant experience.
• Experience in utility/power generation or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with medium- and high-voltage equipment and power systems.
• Project management from development to close-out.
• Troubleshooting and reliability engineering experience.
• Familiarity with plant electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical reliability initiatives and capital/maintenance projects.
• Oversee upgrades of switchgear, transformers, HV/MV equipment.
• Develop, scope, budget, bid, execute, oversee, and close out projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Regulatory teams.
• Represent the site in bid/evaluation processes.
