Job summary

HireTalent seeks an Electrical Engineer to act as the primary electrical engineering resource at a power generation facility in La Crosse, WI. You will lead electrical infrastructure projects, enhance plant reliability, and collaborate with a tight-knit operations and maintenance team.

You will manage capital and maintenance projects, coordinate with contractors, and drive modernization and reliability initiatives, with opportunities for long-term growth and potential full-time conversion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in power generation, utilities, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with medium-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Project management from development through closeout.
• Troubleshooting and reliability engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of plant electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical capital and maintenance projects from planning through execution and closeout.
• Support electrical reliability initiatives and troubleshoot plant systems and equipment.
• Manage upgrades and replacements of switchgear, transformers, MV and HV equipment.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and contractor coordination plans.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, contractors, and engineering teams to improve plant performance and reliability.
• Support modernization projects, outages, and continuous improvement initiatives.
