Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design teams in power generation projects from schematic design to contract documents at our Bedford, NH location.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate workload, and serve as a primary client contact for electrical scope projects, including plant equipment specifications and control systems integration. The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, 6 years of related experience, and familiarity with PV/ETAP/CDEGS tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• 6 years of related experience; local candidates preferred.
• Experience with power generation electrical and control systems.
• Experience in a consulting engineering environment desirable.
• PVsys, PVcase, ETAP, SKM, or CDEGS knowledge is highly desired.
• Ability to produce design drawings including one-lines, schematics and BOMs.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams through schematic design and contract document phases.
• Mentor and develop electrical engineers and designers.
• Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule.
• Be primary client contact for projects with significant electrical scope.
• Prepare major plant equipment specifications for generators and transformers.
• Develop I/O lists and plant control interfaces.
• Perform cable sizing, raceway and conduit routing calculations.
