Job summary

HDR in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Power Generation team. You will lead day‑to‑day electrical design for hydro, coal, and other facilities and coordinate with HDR disciplines and clients to deliver robust power solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred), and several years of power generation project execution experience. Occasional travel may be required; local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license or licensure recognized by the local board is required.
• Several years of experience in Power Market Sector project execution.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit and related design software.
• Ability to coordinate designs with HDR disciplines and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams through schematic design and contract documents.
• Coordinate reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Manage workload to meet project schedules.
• Prepare detailed design packages for generation and storage facilities.
• Develop I/O lists and interface with plant control systems.
• Review engineering deliverables and provide status updates.
