Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Professional, Electrical Engineering to join our Power & Energy team in Meridian, ID. This role supports due diligence, design, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial projects across multiple sectors.

You will guide engineers and project managers, apply high‑level electrical engineering techniques, review plans, and ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, ANSI, and NERC standards while delivering high‑quality reports and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 7–10 years post-education experience.
• Licensed engineer with knowledge of power generation, transmission and distribution.
• Ability to lead teams and manage complex electrical design projects.
• Strong technical writing, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on data collection, design, and procurement for substations and power systems.
• Coordinate electrical infrastructure design plans for projects of varying complexity.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction safety plans.
