Job summary
Komatsu America Corp. is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV to lead the design and analysis of mining truck drive systems, including electric drive and energy storage.
You will guide simulation, motor-drive control, and energy storage performance, and define technical requirements for major components. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust, efficient solutions, travel as needed, and contribute to ongoing product development and optimization.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in electrical/computer engineering; Masters or advanced degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Typically, 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and demonstration of key responsibilities.
- Proficient in circuit simulations and drive system theory; strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develops design of complex drive systems that integrate hardware and software.
- Develops complex simulation tools to evaluate drive system architecture and performance.
- Supports development of material specifications with circuit simulations.
- Maintains knowledge about mining truck drive systems and power systems; suggests features.
- Provides expert technical advice and may support multiple business units.
