Job summary

Strativ Group is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for Microgrids & Power Integration. This remote role with travel to a lab in Raleigh, NC offers equity along with a strong compensation package in the $140,000–$175,000 range.

You will own end-to-end electrical integration of power conversion equipment, energy storage, generation assets and switchgear for a distributed platform. Lead the end-to-end system architecture, drive DFMEA/DVP&R, and mentor others while collaborating across mechanical,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics or heavy system-level integration.
• Strong knowledge of microgrid architecture, BESS, generation assets and power-conversion systems.
• Experience taking hardware through a formal product-development lifecycle.
• Understanding of NEC/NFPA 70, UL 1741, UL 9540, UL 2200 or IEEE 1547.

Responsibilities

• Define system-level electrical requirements and detailed product specifications.
• Establish power-distribution architecture, grounding strategies and protection coordination.
• Integrate BESS, power-conversion equipment, generation assets and switchgear.
• Lead supplier design reviews and provide technical oversight of third-party subsystems.
• Drive hardware development through DFMEA and DVP&R.
• Model system performance using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, SPICE, ETAP or similar tools.
• Lead test planning, hardware bring-up, verification and pre-compliance testing.
• Support root-cause debugging, field commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Represent electrical engineering across mechanical, firmware, software and product teams.
• Establish engineering best practices and mentor team members.
